I've decided something. After viewing a few of the recent deviations for the subway photography contest I realized something. Next to none of them captured what a subway 'is'. I saw some of them of trains and others empty hallways. That's what a subway has, but a subway 'is' the people who call it their home over the bitterly cold winter nights. The nights where your face is torn at by an unforgiving wind. The nights where the streets are cold and empty, devoid of life except for the small eddies of snow dancing across the concrete.
